Promoting Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership in Greece
Sofia Efthymiou, president of the National Chamber Network of Greek Women Entrepreneurs, highlights the importance of enhancing women’s participation in the economy to foster growth. Despite women’s achievements in education and entrepreneurship rates, they still face challenges in leadership positions and access to funding. Recent studies indicate that in Greece, women’s representation in executive roles has declined to 32%. The need for sustained efforts towards gender equality in leadership and an inclusive working environment is emphasized, alongside the potential economic benefits of increased female participation in STEM and tech fields.
