The Greek Ministry of Culture is moving forward with the protection and enhancement of a well-preserved Mycenaean tomb in Geogrikos – Xinoneri, Karditsa, following a positive recommendation from the Central Archaeological Council. Archaeological research dating back to 1917 shows that the site served as a ‘Sanctuary of Ancestors’ in later periods. The project includes visitor pathways, facilities for public service, and fire protection systems, ensuring accessibility for all visitors, including those with disabilities.
