The public rapporteur has requested the total annulment of the environmental authorization for the A69 highway connecting Castres and Verfeil, citing a lack of critical reason for the exemption of protected species. The Toulouse Administrative Court is set to rule on the matter on November 25. While past appeals against the A69 have been unsuccessful, the collective ‘La Voie est libre’ remains hopeful. Meanwhile, the concessionaire Atosca insists the authorization is lawful and progress on the project is significant, with over 300 million euros already invested.
