Passengers are facing disruptions on rail services between Chorley and Bolton, as well as routes to Preston, following the theft of power cables worth £100,000. Network Rail has announced that the railway line will be closed to replace the stolen cables and conduct necessary system tests. The company is collaborating with police to locate the culprits responsible for the theft.
