Rare Dinosaur Fossils Auctioned for Over £12 Million in London
Three dinosaur skeletons, including two Allosaurus and one Stegosaurus, were auctioned for a total of £12.4 million at Christie’s in London. These fossils, dating back approximately 150 million years from the Late Jurassic era, were excavated from Carbon County, Wyoming. The sale highlights the significance of these ancient species, with the Allosaurus known as a major predator and the Stegosaurus recognized for its defensive features. Christie’s James Hyslop expressed awe at the presence of these prehistoric giants.
