The proposal for a floating solar park in the Amvrakikos Gulf from Fanari to Bouka and Amfilochia has sparked significant opposition. Professional and amateur fishing associations, along with environmental organizations, have united in a memorandum urging local authorities to prevent the project’s implementation. They argue that the fragile ecosystem of the Amvrakikos, recognized as a National Park and a Natura 2000 protected area, is at risk of destabilization, and the visual impact on the landscape will be detrimental.
