The number of trademark applications submitted to the Greek Industrial Property Organization (OBI) is expected to reach 7,000 in 2024, the highest in over 15 years. Dimitris Chronis, President of OBI, noted that the increase reflects economic growth and business activity. The prior year, 2023, also saw high levels with 6,449 applications. The rising interest signifies public trust in the intellectual property system and a preference for Greek trademarks, despite the availability of European trademarks.
