A rescue operation coordinated by the Greek Coast Guard (EKSED) took place in the maritime area south of Crete, where 37 foreign nationals were located aboard an inflatable boat. They were found 39 nautical miles south of Cape Lithino and were subsequently rescued by a Portuguese-flagged tanker and are being transported to Agia Galini.
