A 68-year-old man was rescued after injuring his leg on a difficult path near the Xeropotamou Monastery in Mount Athos. The local fire department responded swiftly, extricating the hiker and transporting him to a safe location, where he was then picked up by an ambulance from the National Center for Emergency Care (EKAV).
