Resignations in Serbian Government After Novi Sad Train Station Tragedy

The Serbian government is facing significant resignations following a tragic incident at the Novi Sad train station on November 1, which resulted in the deaths of fifteen people. Commerce Minister Tomislav Momirović, who oversaw renovations from 2020 to 2022, and the Director of the Railway Infrastructure Authority, Jelena Tanaskovic, have resigned. Additionally, Goran Vesić, the current Minister of Construction, Infrastructure, and Transport, also stepped down. Protests are occurring in Novi Sad and Belgrade, demanding accountability for the disaster.
