Retired employees of An Post and eir will benefit from newly approved pension increases following agreements with the Communications Workers’ Union. Starting January 1, 2024, An Post retirees will see a 2% rise in their pensions, while eir pensioners will receive a 2.5% increase effective July 1, 2024. These adjustments impact approximately 18,000 retired employees across both companies. The CWU has stressed the importance of timely payments and aims to secure further adjustments for pensioners in 2025, following two-year pay deals established earlier this year.
