Retirement Pension Payments and Holiday Bonuses Set to Start in Greece
Greece is set to begin the distribution of January pension payments on December 20, with a 2.45% increase for many retirees. While approximately 1.8 million will see this increase, 670,000 will receive no actual boost but instead a compensatory payment if they meet certain criteria. Additional financial aid will also be provided to vulnerable families, including children’s benefit recipients and uninsured elderly individuals. Finally, the Christmas bonus for private sector employees must be paid by December 21, reflecting their work duration since May.
