On the day of Epiphany, the village of Zarko in Trikala, Greece, celebrated the revival of the ancient custom known as ‘Kabouki’ or ‘Bouloukio’. Young boys took on roles including ‘Kaboukas’, who carries the ‘Kabouki’; a ‘Doctor’ representing the community’s health; and a ‘Devil’ in goat horns, who ignites the Kabouki.
