In Komnina Eordaia, the traditional custom of the Momogero has been revived, a practice with deep historical roots aimed at passing cultural heritage to younger generations. The legendary Momogero entertainers animated the streets, bringing a festive atmosphere to the village. According to Mr. Ilias Kalogiannidis, President of the Komnina Pontic Cultural Association, this ancient celebration, preserved by Pontian refugees, instills feelings of awe, emotion, and pride among participants, including children. This custom is recognized in the list of intangible cultural heritage.
