The former Swedish textile workshop in Vlasti, Greece, has been revitalized, transforming into a weaving arts school under the University of Western Macedonia. Local leaders, including Giannis Tzioumaris, have emphasized the building’s preservation and its significance for training new generations in weaving techniques. The program also offers life-long learning opportunities and aims to equip students with recognized educational credits while enabling them to contribute to the weaving arts, which have historical roots in the region.
