Ridouan Taghi’s New Lawyers Request Extended Preparation Time for Marengo Case
The newly appointed lawyers for Ridouan Taghi, the principal suspect in the Marengo case, have requested a 16-month preparation time for the appeal process. Vito Shukrula and Carlo Crince le Roy argue that the complexity of the case, which involves multiple murders and an extensive 83,316-page dossier, necessitates such an extension. However, the Public Prosecutor’s Office deems this request excessive, stating that six months should suffice. A decision from the court on this request is pending ahead of the next hearing scheduled for early February.
