Negotiations between RTÉ management and the RTÉ Trade Union Group (TUG) for a pay increase have ended without an agreement. The TUG expressed disappointment over the lack of a meaningful offer and has referred the matter to RTÉ’s internal Industrial Relations Tribunal. The TUG had originally lodged a pay claim in October 2024 for a €1,500 increase plus 6%, with hopes for a resolution by May 1. An interim arrangement provided employees with non-taxable vouchers while negotiations continue.
