The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Russian air forces conducted strikes against Syrian rebels to support the country’s military, amidst advances by forces fighting against President Bashar al-Assad. The air strikes aimed at gathering places for fighters and military positions in Aleppo and Idlib provinces, reportedly resulting in the deaths of around 300 rebel fighters.
