Salary Disparity in The Hundred Set to Widen Despite Increases for Women’s Players

Starting in 2025, the pay gap between top men’s and women’s players in The Hundred will increase significantly, moving from £75,000 to £135,000. Men’s salaries will rise by 60% to £200,000, while women’s salaries will increase by 30% to £65,000. This change is part of a broader 25% increase across all salary bands, although the Independent Commission for Equity in Cricket had recommended equal salaries by 2025. Tournament director Rob Hillman highlighted the growth and progression in women’s cricket, pointing to the rising salaries as a positive development.
