Colin Wright, a key figure in an organized crime group responsible for trafficking cocaine and heroin from Scotland to England, has been sentenced to 13 years in prison after being apprehended in Spain. The 38-year-old, who led the Scottish arm of the operation, fled to Murcia following a police crackdown that resulted in the arrest of six other gang members in March 2021. Wright’s conviction marks the conclusion of the legal proceedings against the group’s leadership.
