Serbian Students Hold Major Anti-Corruption Protest in Belgrade
Students at the University of Belgrade organized one of the largest anti-government protests in a decade, demanding accountability for a train station tragedy that killed 15 people. The protest, held in Slavia Square, featured students, actors, and many citizens showing support for anti-corruption and transparency demands. President Aleksandar Vučić attempted to appease protesters by addressing their concerns and increasing the education budget, but the students found his efforts inadequate. Protests were reported in major cities across Serbia.
