Storm Caetano has caused significant snowfall across Switzerland, with record accumulations reported in multiple regions including Zurich and Basel, each recording 28 centimeters of new snow. The storm affected areas on both sides of the Alps, with some locations, like Bosco/Gurin, receiving as much as 58 centimeters. Contrastingly, areas in western Switzerland experienced rain instead of snow. The storm also brought strong winds, with gusts reaching up to 198 kilometers per hour on the Jungfraujoch. Additionally, light snowfall is expected to continue into Friday evening.
