Severe Snowfall Causing Accidents in Southern Germany
Severe snowfalls in parts of Southern Germany are prompting warnings from the German Weather Service, which has reported hundreds of weather-related accidents across Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. Authorities advise avoiding outdoor activities and driving due to hazards from deep snow and poor visibility. Over 200 accidents were reported in a short time, with many in the vicinity of the Black Forest and Lake Constance. In France, heavy snowfall has also caused significant disruptions, including power outages affecting 235,000 households.
