Severe Tornado Strikes Ilia Region, Causing Widespread Agricultural Damage

A tornado struck the Ilia region of Greece around 11:30 AM on November 20, causing significant damage to agricultural fields and livestock facilities in the communities of Andravida-Kyllini. The most severe damage occurred in the local community of Aetorrachis Dafni, where olive trees and hay storage were destroyed, as well as in Melissas, where greenhouse structures were ruined. Heavy rain also led to flooding on the Patras-Pyrgos National Road, temporarily disrupting traffic. The local mayor, Giannis Lentz, mobilized emergency response teams to address the situation.
