Severe Weather Causes Port Departures Ban in Greece

Strong north-northeast winds have led to a ban on departures from major Greek ports including Piraeus, Rafina, and Lavrio. The Greek Meteorological Service forecasts winds reaching up to 10 Beaufort in the northern Aegean during the early morning hours. Only vessels to the Argosaronic islands are permitted to leave. This weather system is expected to worsen later in the day, bringing colder temperatures and potential snowfall.
