A case of sheep pox has been confirmed in Limnos, Greece, following veterinary inspections. The disease was detected in a flock of 150 adult sheep and 40 lambs in the village of Lychna, with the animals subsequently slaughtered. A surveillance zone has been instituted, encompassing nearby villages, with intensified checks on livestock farms. The veterinary authority is urging local farmers to implement strict biosecurity measures to prevent further spread of the disease.
