Shift in Digital Tools: AI Gains Ground in Swiss Schools
A recent study by the Swiss Coordination Centre for Educational Research reveals that while smartphones play a minimal role in primary education, artificial intelligence tools are becoming increasingly significant in classrooms. Since 2020, the study has tracked the digitalization of teaching methods, highlighting that about 80% of vocational students use apps in their studies. Although only 10% of primary students regularly utilize AI tools like ChatGPT, adoption rates rise sharply in higher grades, particularly in German-speaking regions, where digital resources are more common than in French-speaking areas.
