The municipality of Skiathos organized a three-day event from November 8-10 in collaboration with the organization ‘STRONG ME’ to address domestic and gender violence. Activities included an educational presentation on creating safe environments for children, a three-hour women’s empowerment program titled ‘With Love’, and a mini-tournament promoting equality among children from local schools. A documentary featuring Olympic champion Sofia Bekatorou, who initiated Greece’s #MeToo movement, was screened, followed by a discussion. The initiative was spearheaded by Deputy Mayor of Social Policy, Stamatina Chondronikoli, emphasizing community support and equality.
