Smart Meters Set to Enhance Gas Consumption Monitoring in Greece
Enaon, the network management company in Greece, plans to install smart meters to achieve energy savings of up to 3.9% and minimize gas losses and theft. This initiative is part of a five-year plan (2025-2029) costing €70 million to replace 568,000 conventional meters. The smart meters will facilitate supplier switching, gas mixture distribution, and remote control of supply, significantly improving energy management and theft detection capabilities.
