A smoke outbreak in the basement of Saint Andrew’s Hospital in Patras prompted an immediate response from the fire department. Firefighters, equipped with oxygen tanks due to the heavy smoke, discovered that the incident was caused by batteries stored in the area. Fortunately, the situation was resolved quickly, and no evacuation of the hospital was necessary.
