The crew of the maxi-trimaran Sodebo Ultim 3 has reached the southern tip of Africa with a lead of one day, four hours, and 17 minutes over the round-the-world sailing record established by Francis Joyon in 2017. After 11 days, 15 hours, and 11 minutes at sea, they are ahead by a significant margin, bolstered by their previous attempt on November 29 that ended in abandonment. The team must return to Brittany by January 30 to officially break the record that has stood for nearly eight years.
