South Korea Issues New Arrest Warrant for Ousted President Yoon Suk Yeol
A South Korean court has issued a renewed arrest warrant for former President Yoon Suk Yeol as investigators pursue allegations of rebellion. Despite previous efforts to apprehend him having failed, authorities remain determined. The Democratic Party has filed a complaint against acting President Choi Sang-mok for neglect of duty related to the attempted arrest. Yoon’s legal team has attempted to void the warrant, but the court rejected their appeal, following which the warrant was reissued, linking him to attempts to impose military rule in the country.
