Spain Initiates Major Recovery Efforts in Valencia with €14.4 Billion Aid Package
A week after a €10.6 billion relief package for Valencia’s disaster victims, the Spanish government has launched a second phase of reconstruction valued at €3.765 billion. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez reported that 400 businesses and 9,000 workers are enrolled in the ERTE program, with direct assistance already reaching 1,800 citizens. Enhanced support measures include a 30% increase in aid for families with minors, housing provisions, and financial relief for self-employed individuals. Approximately 400,000 workers and 35,000 businesses are set to benefit, while the restoration of key infrastructure continues amidst recovery efforts.
