Storm Floriane Brings Strong Winds and Traffic Disruptions Across the Netherlands
The Dutch meteorological institute, KNMI, has issued a yellow weather warning for strong wind gusts affecting transportation throughout the Netherlands. Winds reached up to 108 km/h in Hoek van Holland, posing risks for cyclists and vehicles with trailers. Temperature variations across regions were noted, ranging from 11 degrees in Groningen to 5.6 degrees in Hoek van Holland. Storm Floriane is the second storm to impact the country this year.
