Gela Japaridze, the new Consul General of Georgia in Thessaloniki, met with Konstantinos P. Gioulekas, Deputy Minister of Interior for Macedonia-Thrace, to discuss enhanced collaboration between Greece and Georgia. The meeting emphasized the existing strong bilateral relations and aimed at expanding trade links between Northern Greece and Georgian regions across various sectors, including tourism, culture, agriculture, and education. Collaboration is already underway between Georgian universities and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. They also acknowledged the Greek community in Georgia, many of whom reside in Thessaloniki today.
