The Deputy Minister for Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Christos Triantopoulos, announced the reinforcement of personnel in the Disaster Recovery Sector in Heraklion to expedite the processing of applications for housing assistance for earthquake victims. The aim is to increase the engineering staff to 60 by early next year, as they currently number 40. Additionally, over 2900 applications have been submitted for building repairs, with a significant completion rate noted by the Deputy Minister.
