In Serbia, student-led protests have erupted across numerous universities following the tragic collapse of a train station awning in Novi Sad, resulting in 15 fatalities. Students are demanding accountability for political and criminal responsibilities linked to the incident, criticizing corruption and lack of transparency in public projects. The protests, which include blockades at major roadways, have garnered support from the University of Belgrade’s administration. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has suggested that the protests are fueled by external forces aiming to destabilize his government.
