Students, volunteers, and kindergarten to elementary school children participated in a reforestation initiative in Lefkimi, Greece, affected by the 2023 wildfires. Led by the Democritus University of Thrace and the Evros Forest Directorate, the project, organized by the Hadjigiannis Foundation, aims to plant 220 climate-appropriate trees. Elisabeth Hadjigiannis, General Secretary of the Foundation, emphasized the importance of environmental awareness through hands-on activities in schools.
