Successful 38th Téléthon Raises Nearly 80 Million Euros for Rare Disease Research
The 38th edition of the Téléthon concluded on December 1, raising €79.8 million for research on rare genetic diseases. Despite being held earlier due to the reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris, the event, supported by AFM-Téléthon, was met with strong public participation. The president of AFM-Téléthon, Laurence Tiennot-Herment, expressed gratitude for the results, which reflect hope for treatments. The campaign continues to accept donations until December 6, aiming to fund ongoing research and trials, including those for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
