Authorities successfully captured two lynx that were illegally released in the Drumguish area of the Scottish Highlands. The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland worked alongside police to humanely trap the cats, which were later placed in quarantine at Highland Wildlife Park before being transferred to Edinburgh Zoo. The charity criticized the illegal release as irresponsible, highlighting that the lynx would likely have perished in the wild. The duo, affectionately named ‘The Killiehuntly Two,’ appear to be in good health.
