Surprising Growth in German Industrial Production Amid Economic Struggles
In a positive turn for Germany’s struggling economy, industrial production rose unexpectedly by 1.5% in November, following two months of declines, according to the Federal Statistical Office. Although the October decrease was revised to a lesser decline of 0.4%, experts caution that this increase does not indicate a sustainable recovery, highlighting ongoing geopolitical uncertainties and a decrease in new orders. More than 10% below its 2018 peak, the outlook for substantial improvement remains bleak.
