Swift Medical Rescue Averts Disaster for Crew Member in Greece

On the morning of November 5, an urgent call was made from a ship near Sigri for immediate medical assistance for a Chinese crew member suffering symptoms of acute myocardial infarction. A Super Puma helicopter swiftly airlifted the patient to Vostanio Hospital, where medical staff promptly evaluated and performed a successful primary angioplasty. Following the procedure, the patient showed immediate relief and was transferred to the coronary care unit for further treatment. Hospital Director George Kampouris praised the team’s rapid and effective response in this critical situation.
