Swiss Candle Spending Surpasses 70 Million Francs Annually
Swiss consumers spent over 73 million francs on candles last year, averaging around eight francs per person. The country leads in candle consumption per capita in Europe, with each person using approximately 2.5 kilograms of candles annually. Nine companies manufacture candles in Switzerland, including Herzog Kerzen, which produces a mix of paraffin and natural oil candles. The candle production sector has seen significant investment and innovation, aiming to meet a growing demand for sustainable products.
