Swiss Cantons Aim for Better Collaboration in Adoption Processes
Fourteen Swiss cantons are working together to address deficiencies in the adoption processes for children from countries like India, Brazil, Korea, and Romania, where essential consent forms have often been missing. The initiative aims to improve support for adopted individuals seeking their biological parents. However, there are concerns over the participation of all cantons, as many are less affected by international adoptions. Experts recommend establishing a national commission to streamline efforts and provide tailored support for each case.
