The Swiss Medical Network has acquired Spital Zofingen, which has been struggling financially under the Kantonsspital Aarau AG. The acquisition, costing 50 million Swiss francs alongside 70 million in debts, aims to stabilize the hospital’s future without layoffs, despite prior employee uncertainties. Swiss Medical Network plans to invest between 15 to 20 million francs over the next five years, marking a strategic expansion into the region.
