Switzerland’s Economic Growth Projections for 2024-2026 Revised Downward

The Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (Seco) has adjusted its growth forecast for the real GDP for 2024 to 0.9%, down from a previous estimate of 1.2%. Economists predict a moderate upswing in 2025 with growth expected at 1.5%, reduced from 1.6%. For 2026, a growth of 1.7% is anticipated. These projections exclude the financial impact of major sporting events like the UEFA European Championship and the Olympic Games, which significantly contribute to the economy.
