The coalition of Syrian rebels announced its ongoing efforts to transfer power to a transitional government with full executive authority. Abu Mohammed al-Julani, the head of the rebels, confirmed that former Prime Minister Mohammed Jalali will oversee state institutions until the official handover. He emphasized a commitment to free elections and maintaining a peaceful transition. Communications Minister Iyad al-Khatib also indicated cooperation with the rebel group to ensure telecommunications and internet services continue to function during this period.
