A telecommunication pylon caught fire in Cenves, Rhône, disrupting services for around 800,000 people in the surrounding regions of Mâcon and Bourg-en-Bresse. TDF efforts are underway to restore television services ahead of New Year’s Eve. The fire, confirmed as arson, has also degraded 3G, 4G, and 5G networks but did not affect radio. Authorities reported that access was breached to ignite the fire, necessitating ongoing clean-up and repairs.
