Tesla’s Struggles: Falling Behind in Germany’s EV Market
Tesla has slipped to third place in Germany’s electric vehicle market, trailing behind Volkswagen and BMW, according to new statistics. Despite its Model Y remaining the best-selling EV model in the country, Tesla registered only 31,461 new electric vehicle licenses this year, compared to BMW’s 33,167 and VW’s 49,234. Industry experts suggest that the brand faces an image problem largely stemming from the controversial reputation of CEO Elon Musk, who is perceived negatively by potential customers. Analysts believe that without strategic discounts and improved marketing, Tesla may continue to lose market share in Germany.
