The Feast of the Virgin of Mesosporitis has been added to UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity during the 19th Intergovernmental Meeting in Asunción, Paraguay. Celebrated annually on November 20, this event reflects a deep-rooted tradition linked to agricultural practices and community cohesion in Eleusis, Greece. Greek Culture Minister Lina Mendoni highlighted the significance of this recognition as a testament to the systematic efforts of the Ministry of Culture in promoting intangible cultural heritage.
